GWO Basic Safety Training Refresher Working at Heights (GWO BSTR W@H)

Course Content:

  • Legal fundamentals (brief overview)
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) – general
    • Helmet
    • Gloves
    • Respiratory protection
    • Hearing protection
    • etc.
  • Personal fall protection equipment (PFPE)
    • Individual components and their intended use
      • Full-body harness
      • Shock absorber
      • Lanyard
      • Connecting elements
      • Guided type fall arrester with fixed line
      • Guided type fall arrester with flexible line
  • Fall-hazard areas
  • Selection of suitable anchorage points
  • Behavior in case of fire
  • General rules for behavior in “wind and weather”
  • Work requiring special authorization
  • Permit-to-work procedures
  • General principles for working in electrical areas
    • Authorizations
    • Basic rules
  • Redundancy during exercises
  • Accident case studies

Practical Exercises:

  • Rescue from a ladder
  • Self-rescue from a hatch

Target Group

Employees who are involved in work on wind turbines (WT) and who have already completed the GWO basic safety training “Working at Heights.”

Duration and Costs

  • Duration: 1 day
  • Price: €2,650 plus additional expenses / full course
  • €450 / individual participant (open course)
  • Currently, no catering is provided by Triowind

Cancellation Fees

For cancellations made up to 7 days before the scheduled training date, we charge 50% of the course fee. For cancellations made up to 2 days before the scheduled training date, the full price will be charged.

Safety Briefing according to GWO Standard and DGUV-R 112-198/199 (Personal Fall Protection Equipment)
