Rescue Training Basic Course – Course Content

Day 1 – Theoretical Part

Introduction
Legal basics

Personal protective equipment (PPE)

Helmets

Protective footwear

Personal fall protection equipment

Full-body harness

Shock absorbers (operation and fall forces with/without shock absorber)

Lanyards

Rope-guided fall arrest devices (fixed and mobile)

End-of-service life criteria for harnesses/ropes/helmets

Practical exercises:

Recognizing damaged PPE — each participant must be able to identify defective PPE

Safe work in and on a WEA

Inside the machine house

Spinner, rotor blades and associated areas

Outside on the tower

Day 2 – Practical Part

Briefing

Travel to the wind farm and general behavior rules
Correct donning of harness and PPE

Practical exercises:

“Suspension exercise” test for all participants
Climbing and behavior inside the tower
Behavior when leaving ladders
Behavior inside the machine house
Explanation of emergency stop / shutdown
Safe conduct with open hatches
Instruction on access systems (if available)

Rescue drills:

Rescue from ladder
Abseiling from machine house

Final Debriefing:

Participants’ questions
A few practical tips and recommendations

Target Group

Employees who have not yet received safety training for working in and on wind turbines.

Duration: 2 days
Price: €3,200 / entire course
€475 / individual participant (open course)

Cancellation costs

For cancellations made up to 7 days before the scheduled training date, we charge 50% of the course fee. For cancellations made up to 2 days before the scheduled training date, the full price will be charged.
